OUR MISSION
Swim lessons that take kids seriously.
Anyone can be a teacher. Not every teacher can give a kid the care and attention they need. That distinction is the whole reason why Fin's Exists
MEET OUR TEAM
Our team is trained to deal with any child at any level. Every Member is CPR/AED certified and background checked to ensure your child's maximum safety in the water!

Alexander Gehrig
Founder
Hello everyone, my name is Alexander Gehrig and I founded Fin's last summer. I've been passionate about swimming ever since I jumped off the big diving board when I was 5. I later rediscovered the sport as a form of cross-training, which helped me excel and shatter school records in cross-country and track. I'm currently a junior at Auburn studying Finance. Every summer, I get emotional after doing lessons because I realize the 1-on-1 approach makes a difference in kids lives you don't really expect. In school I experienced a bumpy road with the my way or the highway approach to learning. Fin's is my way of giving back, to apply an approach I've always thought is best. The highlight of last summer was getting Jason, a 15 year old boy with down syndrome to swim independently after a near-drowning incident nearly cost him and his dad's life. I realized it's not only about making a personal difference, but also eliminating a common fatal statistic for young children.

Hi! My name is Katelyn Hua, and I am a second-year at Georgia Tech studying civil engineering. I’ve been around the water for as long as I can remember. I swam competitively for over 10 years and now play collegiate club waterpolo! Before college, I coached swim team at the introductory level and have taught all age groups at another swim school. With this background, I’m very familiar with covering stroke technique, whether for recreational or competitive purposes. I’ve grown a deep love for swimming because it’s an essential life skill and a great source of enjoyment and discipline. Out of the pool, I enjoy hiking, baking, crocheting, cafe-hopping, and quality time with loved ones. I look forward to sharing my love for swimming with my students!

I have been passionate about swimming since my first competition at age 5! I competed for 13 years, up to a semi national level for club team, as well as at the state finalist level in high school. My main events were the mile, and the 20 breaststroke!
I graduated from the university of Miami in 2022 with my bachelors of science in public health. Since then, I have been working as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) providing behavioral therapy services to children and young adults with autism. I have extensive instruction and water safety experience, from infant water safety, up to USA Age Group competitive swim coaching, ilifeguarding, and just about everything in between! My goal is to help your child become safe and confident in the water, while maintaining a fun environment to learn in and accomplish their personal swimming goals, at whatever level they want to reach

Cale DeLisi
Auburn Instructor
Hi! My name is Cale DeLisi, I'm from a small town in East Texas called Mount Pleasant. I am currently a freshman at Auburn University, where I'm studying Agricultural Science on the pre-veterinary track.
I have always had a passion for swimming and became a certified lifeguard in 2024. My interest in water safety became deeply personal after my brother nearly drowned a few years ago. That experience inspired me to help others learn how to swim and to create a safe, supportive, and stress-free environment around water.
Caring for others has always been an important part of my life. Outside of school, I work as a babysitter and a nurse assistant, roles that have strengthened my sense of responsibility and compassion. Growing up as the seventh of thirteen siblings has also given me a deep appreciation for family and a natural connection with kids of all ages.
In my free time, I enjoy playing volleyball, cooking, baking, playing the piano, traveling, and spending time talking with my siblings.
