Swim lessons for every kid in the family

Whatever your kid needs, there's a Fin's lesson for it. We come to your pool, we work in your zone, we meet your kid where they are.

Six ways we teach

A lesson for every swimmer

01

Private Swim Lessons

One-on-one lessons at your pool. Total beginners through stroke refinement. 30 or 45-minute lessons, packages of 3, 5, or 10.

02

Sibling Lessons

Two or more siblings learning together at the same pool, each kid coached at their own pace. Sibling discounts on every package.

03

Adult Swim Lessons

First-time swimmers, lap-swim refiners, returning athletes. Same progression, adult language, private setting, no embarrassment.

04

Special Needs Lessons

Patient, sensory-aware, predictable. We've taught swimmers across the spectrum, including a young swimmer who learned to swim in 10 lessons.

05

Group Lessons

Small groups of three kids of similar ages and skill levels. We coordinate the pool. A fit for friend or neighbor groups learning together.

06

Competitive Coaching

Stroke refinement, race prep, starts, turns, stamina. For swim team tryouts, summer league, or club competition.

Our progression

Five levels, one journey

Every Fin's swimmer follows the same path, tailored to where they are. Adults follow a parallel structure: comfort, independence, mobility, refinement, mastery.

LEVEL 1

Tiny Tails

Water comfort, bubbles, and basic floats for our youngest swimmers.

3 of 10 core skills
  • Blowing bubbles

Exhaling with the face in the water removes the panic instinct and is the foundation for every breath they will ever take while swimming.

  • Supported front & back floats

Feeling the water hold them up builds trust and body awareness before any kicking or paddling is added.

  • Comfortable submersion

Going under on their own terms turns fear of the water into confidence and readiness for real swimming.

These are 3 of the 10 core skills your child masters at Tiny Tails.

LEVEL 2 · PURE INDEPENDENCE

Splashers

The safety milestone. Back float and return-to-wall on their own.

3 of 10 core skills
  • Independent back float (7 seconds)

The core survival skill: if a child ever falls in, rolling to a back float lets them breathe and stay calm until help or the wall.

  • Roll to breathe and recover

Turning from front to back to find air is what turns a fall into a save, the heart of Pure Independence.

  • Return to the wall

Falling in, finding the surface, and getting themselves to the wall is the moment a child becomes safe in the water on their own.

These are 3 of the 10 core skills your child masters at Splashers.

LEVEL 3

Fin Flyers

Combined swimming, breath rhythm, and the deep end.

3 of 10 core skills
  • Rhythmic side breathing

Turning to breathe without stopping is what lets freestyle become continuous instead of a series of short sprints.

  • Freestyle arm cycle

Coordinating a full over-the-water arm recovery with the kick is the first real stroke and unlocks true distance.

  • Deep-water confidence

Swimming where they cannot touch teaches independence and self-rescue away from the safety of the wall.

These are 3 of the 10 core skills your child masters at Fin Flyers.

LEVEL 4

Wave Makers

Refined freestyle and backstroke, breaststroke, longer distance.

3 of 10 core skills
  • Breaststroke kick and timing

The trickiest kick to learn; getting the glide and timing right adds a whole new stroke and builds stamina.

  • Refined backstroke

A straight body line and steady arms let them swim backstroke efficiently and breathe freely the entire way.

  • Endurance swimming

Linking strokes for longer continuous distance builds the fitness that separates a swimmer from a survivor.

These are 3 of the 10 core skills your child masters at Wave Makers.

LEVEL 5

Big Fins

Competitive refinement: butterfly, starts, turns, race-ready.

3 of 10 core skills
  • Butterfly timing

The hardest stroke of all; mastering the dolphin kick and rhythm is the capstone of real stroke technique.

  • Starts and turns

Streamlined push-offs and flip turns are what make a swimmer fast, efficient, and ready for a team.

  • Stroke refinement and pacing

Polishing all four strokes and learning to pace turns a confident swimmer into a complete one, ready for a lifetime of swimming.

These are 3 of the 10 core skills your child masters at Big Fins.

"We were shocked by how affordable the lessons were, especially for the quality of instruction. It's the best value we've found anywhere in the area."
